I think it was more political posturing than a sincere expression of his beliefs, but Obama clearly singled out Americans making over $250,000 during his campaign. The message was that everyone else would get some relief while they would start footing the bill for the Iraq War and the 500,000 other things we owe China for. But, um, those people, uh….they voted for Obama. Actually by quite a bit (52%-46&) in fact.
How do we reconcile this? Well we can definitely chalk some of it up to the “limousine liberal” phenomenon, …
